April, the shelves are starting to refill!


  • Seasonal vegetables: Peas, Artichokes, Carrots, Cauliflower, Onions (Dried / Fresh), cabbage, lettuce, broccoli, beets, potatoes, leeks, radishes, Swiss chard, spinach.Carrots
  • Seasonal fruits: Avocado, Grapefruit, Lemons, Mandarins, Bananas, Oranges, Radishes and passion fruits[1] (beautiful pics from Raxa Collective http://raxacollective.wordpress.com/2012/04/22/passion-fruit-passiflora-edulis/).
  • Nuts and herbs: Parsley, Fennel, Celery, Basil, coriander, dill, mint, thyme, oregano, chives.


    [1] Passion fruits:  come mainly from Brazil (main producer), Australia, South Africa, Fiji, Hawaii, Kenya, Peru, Colombia, Sri Lanka, Ivory Coast, India, the Caribbean and Angola. If you find Greek passion fruits than do not hesitate, otherwise try not to eat too much because it makes a long journey to come to Greece.
